For a brief moment, we could tell that it was spring here at the AO River Center. We are busy taking advantage of these sunny gaps between storms to get ready for a memorable 2023 rafting season! Thank you to everyone who did a rain dance for California, but you can stop now.

Our talented river guides not only expertly led their crews through the exciting whitewater that Goodwin Canyon offers, they also captured the essence of this past fun-filled weekend on camera. And it was all thumbs up!

This last weekend in August was full of big waves and huge smiles. The South Fork of the American River will continue to deliver through the end of October this year!

Just this past weekend these lucky guests enjoyed all that a multi-day Tuolumne rafting trip has to offer: World class rafting, awesome side hikes, wilderness camping and delicious food on a beautiful remote beach.

Two rafts, two different guides and paddling crews, but the execution – carbon copy flawless!

The Class IV+ Tunnel Chute Rapid and the 90-foot river tunnel that follows are the most famous features on the Middle Fork of the American River. This group sure looked like they had a blast on their whitewater rafting trip over the Memorial Day weekend.
