Both my boys (18 & 19 ) joined me for a special day in cherry creek. Its a gem! with mostly shallow technical rapids. Plenty back paddling, this river is FAST. AO is as good as you can get, super knowledgeable, friendly and safe. If you love the outdoors and enjoyed some of the less extreme rafting, and ready to take it to the next level this is the crew and canyon to do.
Cherry Creek! Wow, what a fun trip! Tons of great whitewater. Big rapids, beautiful scenery, and non-stop adrenaline rush. Our guide "Horse" was great. He kept us safe the entire time. Very precise commands at just the right time. Truly a master of his craft. We have rafted with this company many times. Each time has been well worth it. If you sign up for Cherry Creek, be ready to paddle forward and backward quite a bit. It is a challenge, but well worth it. You don't find this level of excitement and thrills just anywhere. I'm hooked. We plan on making it an annual event.
Our group of 5 family and friends had an awesome time on Cherry Creek last week, led by our expert guides Horse and Adam. I highly recommend this trip if you've paddled before, are decently fit (the swim test and fighting the waves were a great workout), listen to commands well (necessary for everyone's safety), and are looking for a thrilling day of rafting!
Be ready to paddle (and back-paddle) hard - even if you're getting smacked in the face by walls of water and the waves are trying to throw you around the boat, commit to following all of your guide's commands as much as possible to ensure the smoothest and safest trip possible - don't worry, you'll still get plenty of thrills.
The safety talk the evening before was helpful for us to get into the right mindset and refresh our memory of common commands and what to do in different scenarios.
We really appreciated AO's amazing guides, our fellow guest paddler, and the guide boats for their support and for helping us have a wonderful time down Cherry Creek. All-Outdoors continues to be my favorite whitewater rafting outfitter in the area.

I’m a very adventurous guy. I’ve jumped out of planes, off of cliffs, skyscrapers. Everything I’ve done up to this point has been child’s play! This was so adrenaline pumping. Knowing now how cool this trip is, I would have payed thousands to experience it. Just don’t do it if you’re gonna chicken out on rowing while going down big rapids. You will flip your raft and that would not be fun. Trust me, they make you swim in the water to start and that is brutal. Couldn’t imagine falling out and someone in my raft did fall out down a rapid. This is no joke, you’re getting yourself into some serious stuff here!

This trip offers so much: 1. Unparalleled beauty 2. Non-stop whitewater 3. Extremely knowledgeable staff This river would require days to scout all of the nuances of finding a path threw the thousand of boulders choking off most routes down. For the fit and those willing to work. The reward is a life time experience that will stay with you. If able and willing one should go.
My girlfriend is an avid thrill-seeker and rafter and has done Cherry Creek 3 times.....I once did Splash Mountain at Disneyland and normally avoid risk....... Understandably, I was a bit concerned about joining her on the Tuolumne 2 day after she got her adrenaline rush of Cherry Creek, but I had an amazing time thanks to the patience and professionalism of our guides. To say I "knew nothing" prior is an understatement, but I learned a lot and the guides were extremely patient with my questions and general lack of knowledge. If you are like me, a reluctant rafter, there is no better company to get your start (there are probably easier rivers, but this company will take care of you). On top of the rafting, the river is highly pristine and you soon realize how special it is to enjoy nature in an environment that is largely never seen by most people. Each guide seemed to have tremendous knowledge of the ecosystem and history of the river and took great pride in encouraging us to only leave footprints. On top of the rafting and expert guides, the food they provide is of high quality. While I will never be a rafting pro - All Outdoors created a space that allowed me to pretend to be one for a couple of days.
My son Blake and I had the pleasure of participating in the one day Cherry Creek trip yesterday. Our guide Scott was fantastic as were all the other guides and Adam was a wonderful leader giving great detailed instructions the night before and providing a calm, yet confident presence the day of our trip. The trip was intense and very physical, the scenery was beautiful, the food was nice and the overall structure and safety of the trip was top-notch, I highly recommend!
Cherry Creek is probably the most thrilling run on any river anywhere that we non-professionals are allowed to raft. Yes, running five class 5 rapids back-to-back on the Miracle Mile can be intimidating, but the guides took the time to prepare us, built team confidence, and encouraged us through our misgivings. I'm no fan of camping, but sleeping under the stars on Day One was a pleasant surprise, the food was outstanding, and making new friends that night was an experience I won't soon forget.
