Tuolumne / Cherry Creek Combo Trip Options

Option 1: Crescendo

Start with the ultimate challenge on Cherry Creek, then celebrate on the Tuolumne.

Option 1: Crescendo Trips

(Building up to Cherry Creek)

Start your trip with 1, 2 or 3 days of rafting on the National Wild and Scenic Tuolumne River—exhilarating Class IV rapids, beautiful hikes up side canyons, remote riverside camping, and stunning scenery. The next portion of your trip is truly the "grand finale"; a day rafting the unparalleled Class V whitewater of Cherry Creek, the uppermost section of the Tuolumne River.

We have compiled a comprehensive list of local accommodations to help you find a place to stay in between the two portions of the combo trip. You may refer to our Travel Info page for suggested camping and lodging options.

Option 2: Downstream Extreme Trips

(Start with Class V Adrenaline, Celebrate in a Class IV Wilderness)

Turbo charge a Tuolumne trip by adding Cherry Creek to the first day and creating a continuous 27 mile run! Drop an amazing 100 feet per mile as you take off down Cherry Creek early in the morning. Then, spend the main part of the day enjoying one of the most scenic and difficult commercial whitewater rivers in the country before adding onto a Main Tuolumne 2-Day or 3-Day trip.

This "combo" trip offers a genuine wilderness experience by allowing you to remain in the beautiful and protected National Wild and Scenic Tuolumne River Canyon while rafting two great sections of river. Camping during this seamless "downstream" trip occurs on remote beaches far from civilization and everyday life.

2-Day Downstream Extreme

Day 1: Raft Cherry Creek starting early morning and in the afternoon, join the first day of a 2-Day Tuolumne Trip: Class V rapids to jump start the day, granite boulder gardens, non-stop adrenaline, Class IV rapids in the afternoon, wilderness camping along the river, fresh meals prepared by guides.

2 day Cherry Creek

"I raft a couple times a year on the east coast, and this was by far the greatest rafting experience. Everyone was awesome. Even the food was delicious. The staff cooked us such tasty meals while we played on the beach of the Toulumne River. Highly recommend this trip and I can't wait to do it again."
