In order to decide which river trip is best for your birthday party, consider these questions:

Is the party for a child eight years old or younger?

• We suggest a trip on the South American River (Easy Section Only).
• Rapids are gentle yet fun for youngsters.
• Usual minimum age five years old so your child's younger friends can come to the party too.

Is the party for children from 8 to 12 years old?

• We suggest a trip on the South Fork American River.
• Rapids are challenging for young children who swim well but not overwhelming.
• Usual minimum age eight years old.

Is the party for teens from 12 to 18 years old?

• We suggest a trip American River rafting trip. .
• The South Fork is a more "normal" trip for kids that are in their early teens.
• The Middle Fork represents a more challenging option with Class IV rapids.
• Usual minimum age on the South Fork is eight years old, and on the Middle Fork it is twelve years old.

Make sure you tell our reservations staff someone on the trip will be celebrating a birthday.
