This was my first time ever whitewater rafting and I've definitely caught the bug! The guides were professional, fun, and incredibly helpful. 2 of our 3 boats went for a swim and that just made the trip even more memorable. Won't stop talking about how much fun we had!
This is my fourth rafting trip in the last 5 years (3 of which was with All Outdoors). As always, the guides were extremely professional, safe and friendly. We went with my two sons and my wife. I have never been thrown out of a raft prior to this trip but was a swimmer twice during this trip. The current was pretty strong and I ended up loosing my wedding band while I was in the water (current was pretty strong). I highly recommend this trip to people that are good swimmers and adventurous. The first third of the river trip is the most challenging and most fun.
I have been rafting a few times and have done class III-IV+ rapids before. So I was looking for an exciting 1 day trip fairly close to SoCal. This trip certainly fits the bill. Due to the low water levels this trip was only going to be run for about a month this year and we were lucky to book a day when it was running. Since fairly low water levels it was very technical, with lots of navigating and maneuvering around rocks. But still very fun, challenging, and exciting. Of the 8 of us that went 5 of us ended up falling off the raft. The first half of the trip is action packed with tons of class IV+ rapids and then is slows down a bit near the end. Scott and all the guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exciting 1 day rafting trip!
So.. Where to begin? With not much of snow pack winter, the April 2021 water flow was low. This meant lots of maneuvering around rocks, bouncing off rocks and paddling almost non-stop. AMAZING RAPIDS!!! Solid teamwork with our excellent guide Scott giving the commands. We were a pack of 50 year olds in reasonable shape plus a ringer 18 year old - the next day I was the best kind of sore! Along with Goodwin Canyon, this is my every year river - tho given a choice, I would do the Kaweah over Goodwin in a heartbeat.
LoL, this is not a river for 12 year olds, those who don't like working in a team, and those wanting a mellow, float trip...

This river is a blast! We had low-moderate flows, which made for a pretty technical run and lots of swimmers (myself included... twice), but overall everyone had a great time on the near-constant rapids. I would definitely recommend to experienced rafters searching for a thrill (and open to an unplanned dip in frigid water). If you're looking for lodging try the Hideaway campground, as it makes arrival a non-issue. The restaurant lunch after the trip was a nice way to end the day too. Thanks for another great run A-O!

This trip was great. We had a group of 6 decently-fit individuals, all in our 20's and only 2 us that had ever rafted before. The one day trip was the perfect length. Yes it required a super early morning drive coming from LA but it was all over by about 3 pm which let the group recover and do something else that evening. The guide was a swell and experienced character. Lunch was average but filling. The morning rapids were way more intense than the ones we took on after our lunch stop but that doesn't mean the afternoon was lacking in excitement. 10 out of 10 recommend this trip. Helps if you're in decent shape but it isn't required.
The entire staff was spot on. Easy to work with and very careful. They all made sure everyone had a Perfect Experience
All of the guides were very knowledgeable. They definitely made sure safety came first but were very fun to be around. We had a great time and will definitely raft again with this company. And a personal shout out to our guide, Kyle. He was very good at giving instruction and made sure we could have the most thrills as possible while still being safe.
It was a great day, exciting rapids, water levels were high . The staff was extremely nice and professional. This was the best rafting trip I have had on a California River so far.
